We had a wonderful Christmas break with our extended family this year, but one of the highlights for my boys was visiting their uncle at the fire station. It was fun for them to hear the other firemen call him “captain,” and they learned that you should never go down the fire pole in shorts (ouch!) or large belt buckles (scratches the pole). The goal was to learn fire safety, so hopefully some of that stuck too, but it didn’t make it into the conversation in the car on the way home. Here are a few pictures of my boys learning about fire safety, belt buckles, and how much cooler you look if you use a bigger ax:
What a fun day!
