Because of the rain, I haven’t been booking many sessions lately and my shutter button finger was itching. It was great to get out (in the freezing cold!) and play with my camera. Their little guy was such a trooper, and special thanks to Meredith for bringing an extra pair of gloves for me to borrow. And thanks to Grandma for helping capture these beautiful baby smiles. Enjoy!

How do you get 8 kids to fit in the frame for a family picture? You pile them up!
I’m normally not a fan of family pics where people are laying on each other (I don’t come from a very touchy-feely family—we have our personal space and like it that way, thank you very much!), but I like this one. I think it’s because the kids are so sweet. Pile up on the floor? No problem. Not one complaint about a knee in the back or “he’s shoving me” or anything like that. Really, watching this family interact is very refreshing. They’re very kind and wonderful people. Thanks to the Southwicks for sharing your afternoon with me.
Now, I don’t know if you noticed, but there seems to be a lack of girls in this family. So what do you do when you don’t have a sister? You adopt one. How cute are these gals?

When I was setting up to take baby pics, my youngest volunteered to pose for some practice shots. This picture makes me realize just how big he’s getting. Before I know it, he’ll be headed to school!
And here’s the shot I took of his cousin. I’m pretty sure this one was right before my guy bomb-dived the bean bag where the baby was laying and we decided to take the rest of our pictures at the park. Without the rest of the family.

Thanks to a sweet friend who is watching my littlest, I finally have a minute to blog some more of the Davis family photos. I’m so excited because Julia taught me some tricks for my pictures and how to get the colors to stay more vibrant on blogger. Thanks!
I’m reposting this one because the color is so much better. (And because I love it.) I hope you enjoy these photos as much as I enjoyed taking them!
